The water consumption required per steam use has been measured at one half the amount of water required when taking a regular shower for the same period. California water consumption standard requirement is 2.5 gallons per minute. Serene Steam uses approximately 1.2 gallons per minute;

Patent Pending U.S.A. & INTERNATIONAL

How much steam is delivered?

Based on the technology used, there is no standard for measuring the amount of steam produced. Serene Steam uses approximately 1.3 gallons of water when the steam feature is in use.

How long does it take for it to generate steam?

Generate is not the correct term as there is no generator required. Rather, the system depends on the hot water supply to initiate the steam in your environment, and so depending on how far away your water heater is in relation to the Serene Steam system will depend on the time required before steam in present. This is the same concept as opening your hot water in your shower enclosure and noticing the time it takes to get hot. With Serene Steam it will take slightly longer because there is far less water required. In conclusion, it can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. (depending on the physical distance between Serene Steam and your water heater).

Would the item need to be hooked up to a steam generator?

No Generator at all, no electricity at all.

How does it work for creating the steam?

PLEASE NOTE: There are several proprietary factors which enable the primary elements of Serene Steam to function, and therefore, proprietary information may not be disclosed here. However, below is a general description .

Serene steam uses a sequence of Patented, and Patent Pending techniques and sequences to produce a steam spa. It begins with your hot water heater which supplies the initial energy and water flow required to complete the multiple processes which results in the steam flow, and heat into your shower enclosure.

Within the steam module, there are several occurrences as well as other proprietary factors designed to allow steam to enter your shower enclosure without water being present when the steam feature is in use. Due to multiple events and further techniques “which are isolated in the steam module (housing)”, the flow of steam and hot air is raised to the level of a “Fan type of effect” which blows hot air and steam together, no water.
This final result that you will feel in your shower enclosure has a similar feeling of having your hand in front of a fan which blows air. The Serene Steam system when in use, feels like a fan blowing hot air and steam.

The amount of water used for the steam feature is greatly reduced when compared to the water consumption during your regular shower, based on multiple tests, it shows that almost half the amount of water is required for using the steam feature when compared with a regular shower flow, this test was based on a “Low Flow” shower head producing approximately 2.6 gallons per minute. The Serene Steam steam feature produces approximately 1.3 gallons per minute. Although this is not a scientific analysis of the water flow, the bottom line is that the water flow using the steam feature is indeed almost half that of your regular shower head flow.

How hot does it get?

Depending on the size of your shower and the materials used for the walls it should reach approximately between 100 – 105 degrees environmentally. Serene Steam is not only used for creating heat and steam in your environment, but one can also concentrate a more heat intensive experience to target specific body areas such as lower back, and/or shoulders to name just a few. The location of your shower bench can determine several heat factors. But in general, the environment should reach approximately as mention above.
