How to Install the Bridjit Curb Ramp

Step-by-Step Guide for Installing a BRIDJIT Curb Ramp

The Bridjit Driveway Ramp provides excellent protection for your vehicle's undercarriage when driving over curb driveway entries. It's perfect for all vehicles but is considered the best rubber curb ramp for protecting the undercarriage of high-performance cars like Corvettes, Porsches, campers, and more.

The basic 3-piece set includes left, center, and right-side sections, designed for installation on both straight and curved driveway entries up to 12 feet wide. For driveways wider than 12 feet, we offer a 4-piece set for 16-foot driveways and a 5-piece set for 20-foot driveways.

Installing your Bridjit curb ramp is easy. Follow these steps:

  1. Prep the Area
First, thoroughly sweep your curb and gutter.

  2. Gather Tools
You will only need a hammer, flathead screwdriver, and pliers for this two-person job.

  3. Position the Ramp Sections
Place each section in order: left, center, and right. Lay them tightly end to end.
Whether you're installing the ramp on a curved or straight curve, align all ramp sections together.

  4. Align the Sections
When you lay the ramp sections down into the gutter, make sure:

    • The left section is on the left and the right section is on the right.
    • When facing the ramp from the street, the ends should angle towards the street, and the Bridjit logo should be legible from the street.
Turn the ramp sections over so the flat side is facing down.
  5. Connecting the Sections
To connect, stand on the section. The pre-inserted bolt is being driven into place—use the hammer to pound the bolts into that section. Be sure to leave the bolt head at least 1/8 inch from the rubber. Repeat until all pieces are joined, taking care not to damage the threads.
Pry each bolt by pushing a flathead screwdriver between the rubber and the threaded end of the bolt.

  6. Securing the Bolts
Spin each nut onto the bolt with your fingers to allow flexibility in the joints. The bolt should only protrude 1/4 inch beyond the nut.
If you're not going to install additional sections, use pliers to crimp the threads at the end of each bolt. This acts as a theft deterrent by making disassembly more difficult.

  7. Flip and Final Positioning
Starting at one end, lift the outer edge of the ramp up and toward the gutter. Flip it over, and keep flipping until the ramp is positioned with the Bridjit logo readable when facing the street.

Check BRIDJIT Compatibility Criteria Before Ordering:

  1. Measure 20” out from the top edge of the curb into the street.
  2. Measure from the lowest point of the gutter, perpendicular to the first measurement. This distance should be between 1.75” to 3”.

That's it! Your Bridjit curb ramp is now ready!
